Positive self talk

  Self-talk is your internal dialogue. It’s influenced by your subconscious mind, and it reveals your thoughts, beliefs, questions, and ideas. Self-talk can be both negative and positive. It can be encouraging, and it can be distressing. Much of your self-talk depends on your personality. If you’re an optimist, your self-talk may be more hopeful and positive. The opposite is generally true if you tend to be a pessimist. Positive thinking and optimism can be effective stress management tools. Indeed, having a more positive outlook on life can provide you with some health benefits. For example, one 2010 study shows optimists have a better quality of life. If you believe your self-talk is too  negative , or if you want to emphasize positive self-talk, you can learn to shift that inner dialogue.   Motivation - what drives you?   Are you running towards or away from something? When I talk about motivation, often people see it as a battle to get it done. Feeling like you need to have hardcore self control and this wild persistence to get something completed. You need to work out what is motivating and driving you. Then achieving things will become enjoyable instead of painful. All your willpower because the journey is either enjoyable or not. The entire journey is fulfilling because every step of the way is getting you closer to what is exciting or what matters. It’s where even a small step in the journey can feel like an accomplishment. Take losing weight for example. Instead of running away from the body and weight that you are unhappy with, try and pick a fitness goal that works for you. Identify what is holding you back

 When we think about our comfort zone, we think of what makes us feel protected, safe and secure. But i challenge you to look at it differently. What if you saw your comfort zone as everything you’re afraid to lose? Our comfort zone is a collection of people, places, jobs, homes and life situations that we are afraid to lose. Even if they are not what we want to lose. It represents our safest option currently available to us. How many times have you thought about changing your job and the main reason you decided to was because your current situation represents “safety” or smaller chance of pain or failure. How many times have you considered leaving that relationship or friendship? Do you fear loneliness? Or unknown? Take stock of your current comfort zone. Let’s look at all those things.
