Overcome abuse in relationship's

Image
I myself have been through abusive relationships and my mother went through abuse herself by two husband's who didn't treat her the way she should of been. I guess I was living her experience so I have a good understanding of how it felt.  I know what it feels like to have a court order on someone who won't let you move on with life.  We need to stop being someone we are not and that is why I use self help therapy to help my mind not think if the negativity of the situation, I know that a person who you have a court order against can't leave you alone is scary! Which causes anxiety I know from my own experience with online bullying. I want to teach you a skill you can use during the experience CBT congitive behavioral therapy change your perception of the situation.  1. Thoughts - are they positive or negative? 2. Attitude - how you respond to the situation 3. Behavior - what is your behavior positive or negative response do you have an attitude how you speak to others,

The meaning of self care and self love

Image
Self-care” and “Self-love” are words commonly thrown out in the self-improvement that often lack deeper meaning but in my eyes I see the meaning behind it. This video from actor and musician Will Smith personifies the core of what self-love is all about: discipline - forgoing immediate pleasure for the long-term self-respect ( with the "epic" background music, it's worth watching!)  motivational video feature Will Smith  Self care helps us connect to who we really are and looking after our mind and body when most of us don't do that! We need to find a way to make an effort on a daily basis to take more care of what we are doing. I like to use the spa pool to relax my body before bed has so many health benefits, I do yoga every morning and meditation not to forget journalling! What works for you may not work for others.  Here is some advice a friend made on her youtube video. Hope this helps guys blessings from Lori at Lifesuccessnz xx

Facing your feelings

Image
Don't run from your feelings if you run from them someday they will catch up with you in a bad way, I've seen it before in my past and most of the time they use drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. When I have faced a negative experience that caused me to feel very emotional I talk to someone at depression helpline www.depression.org.nz talking to someone a counselor helps you see things differently than before, so what can you do to help yourself? I use a meditation to help face my fear and emotions that I used to run from until recently I have been dealing with a lot of drama and knowing that I was overwhelmed so I used meditation to help me through the process thanks to Gabrielle Bernstein for the guided meditation link below   feeling meditation If you still struggle with anxiety and depression seek support from someone who can understand what you are experiencing. Finding structure in your life

Image
I’ve never been the kind of person to describe myself as a control freak. For the most part, I have struggled with anxiety and I tend to lose my flow when life throws curveballs at me. But lately I’ve been starting to wonder where the easygoing part of me disappeared to but I have been dealing with big challenges since I was young.  I had two siblings commit suicide in my life and that left a mark on my life.  I’m going to guess that the majority of us would prefer to be in control of our lives rather than having someone else determine everything for us. This is definitely true for me, but I don’t think I’d realized quite how much control played a part in my life until I felt like I’d lost it control, that is. However, I was feeling anxious and out of touch with myself for a few years, and I eventually realized it was because I was trying to control things that were most of the time  out  of my control for example I was abused by someone who breached protection order or one thing after
