It may look like a big deal to think positively when depressed. Besides, there’s no full proof that  thinking positive  is the cure for depression. However, thinking positively will go a long way in helping your depressed state. The people that surround you matter a lot. Building healthy habits updated

Image
Building habits Building Healthy habits is important, so I show you how to do that.  We’ve all heard that it takes 21 days to form a habit, but unfortunately, that’s not exactly true. It can take closer to 60 days to stick to new habits which is pretty daunting to think about. Doesn’t that make you not want to even try? Sometimes I think about the habits I’ve had in the past and how hard it was to change them. It definitely took longer than 21 days to be consistent. And then there’s my current habit that I’m determined to change (well, sort of determined, otherwise it would have happened by now, right?). It’s overwhelming to create new habits, especially if you keep trying and failing. Though we may blame it on lack of our own willpower or ability, that’s not a good enough reason to stop trying. In this post, I’m sharing what mindset shifts need to happen to help you form new habits and make them stick. Your Mindset + Habits Going from bad habit to good habit can be frustrating wh...

When you want to find happiness really the only way to finding that happiness is by creating it. That's how I managed to find my way to feeling and acting happier as a person. Changing how we view life that means changing our mindsets about our lives and that is why I teach CBT cognitive behavioral therapy to reset your mind to be a happier and positive person within. Let's explore how we can achieve this happiness  Write 3 things you are grateful for: When you are grateful you feel good within and see the positives around you currently and there will be no room for negativity. Meditate for 10 minutes: meditation is good for the mind and body it relaxing as well. It reduces stress levels, try doing meditation twice a day. I like doing meditation first thing in the morning.  Watch inspiring YouTuber: My favorite YouTuber is Gabrielle Bernstein she has a beautiful energy. You need to get inspired by someone that you can relate to and get inspired daily.  Listen to a motiv...

Kinder thoughts and self talk

Image
Kindness towards ourselves begins with our thoughts. The thoughts we choose to think determine our self-talk, words, actions and personal experiences. Unkind thoughts and actions create tension, anxiety and disconnection, while kind thoughts grow the delicious feelings of peace, balance and connection we seek. Our inner voice says things either negative or positive which creates our response to that thought. So how do you talk to yourself? Are your thoughts and opinions about yourself negative or positive? When we speak positive towards ourselves we are less likely to judge ourselves because it all in your head and we need to get rid of that negative thoughts you have in that head of yours my friend,it not serving you any good. Thoughts are by nature ever changing, creative, and flexible. They are habit patterns open to transformation. I use affirmations from Gabrielle Bernstein it helps me on days I feel down or stressed and need to be kind towards myself.  I use to talk neg...

Plus, they way you treat and think about others also tends to be the way you treat othersand think about yourself.  So how can you make someone else happier? 1. Give a compliment many positive words get left unsaid. So give someone a compliment it will make their day as well as yours. It boosts your self-esteem.  2. Hold the door for a few seconds it doesn't take much effort to just hold the door for a bit longer it makes the person more grateful. 3. Be grateful for the simple things why I say that is because the simple things do matter like thanking the person for making food for you or doing something for you regardless. Gratitude is ...

Having a plan for our goals

Image
Plan for our goals I want to talk about having a plan for our goals and why we need to create small steps not huge steps like some people do. If you have a journal that says Goals on it get it out now! We are going to sort out the mission of creating your first goal. Here's the question.... 1. what is it you want to do this year? 2. Why? 3. how can we make it happen step by step 4. small steps is better than doing big steps as we can get discouraged and give up on our goals 5. create a vision board 7. celebrate each step be proud of yourself for doing it! Get a journal and use it for praising yourself for doing it. SMART Goals are the five most important characteristics of goal setting. Those five characteristics are: Specific:  Identify what will be accomplished and what exact actions will be taken. Measurable:  Choose the data or metric that will allow you to know you are making progress. Achievable:  Ensure you have the resources and skills to be successful an...

Over coming depression with positive actions  Depression can range from mild to servere and involves the theme of suicide. I’ve experienced a loss myself. Two tragic loses of my brothers suicides.  Self devaluation frequently follows a loss for example when my ex left the relationship used me I no longer felt valued as a woman should feel. When people are depressed they usually withdraw from activities and into themselves. However, the negative content of a depressed person's thinking has called the congitive triad of depression you have negative view of the world and towards yourself for example "everything is against me" 'i'll never get over depression'.  Accompany of loss of pleasure, interest, libido, appetite, over eating, poor motivation, poor sleep pattern, suicidal thoughts. I have identified these with 1.  Self blame 2.  Self pity - feeling sorry for yourself 3.  Other pity - feeling sorry for others Some events like the death of a loved one that j...
