You don’t need to be in therapy to benefit from these techniques. Here are the essential skills that can make everyday life more manageable. 1. Grounding Techniques When anxiety spikes or emotions feel overwhelming, grounding brings you back to the present moment. The 5-4-3-2-1 technique is simple and powerful: identify five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste. This interrupts the anxiety spiral and reconnects you with reality. A lot of people don't know how or where to find the right help, even when you are addicted to something intense. Sadly we all have something we are addicted to and the thing is we are not admitting that we have control over our minds. In all honesty I believe in the power of positive mindset to help us overcome these simple addictions like sex, drugs, over eating junk, playing digital games, Facebook, which is common in today's world CBT known as cognitive behavioral therapy reset the mind to overcome whatever you are facing. As a life coach I am seeing this type of thing a lot however, it is common in today's world. The only way is to reset your mindset in order to be able let go of the thing you are addicted to.
