Become an overcomer  We all face a lot in life and overcome it. When we are faced with challenges and goals we must find a way through them to overcome them. This journey is a personal growth process So here’s the plan!  1.   FULFILL YOUR ESSENTIAL NEEDS What does it mean to find  fulfillment ?  It all goes back to our   Six Human Needs :  certainty,  significance,  variety,  love/connection,  growth and contribution. The Importance of Going After your goal You Want

Importance of achieving goals  My dream came true!  Experiencing self-doubt is part of being human. It is easy to automatically assume you are not good enough, not talented, or not skilled enough to dream big or get the outcome you want. But I did it! I made my dream happen in the music industry. To assume other people’s  dreams  come true, but not yours. I think this can be especially true for those in a minority group including people with chronic health concerns or a disability. Regardless of my health condition I still did make it happen.  You may not achieve a goal simply because you tried and worked hard, but if you don’t try you will not even have the possibility of reaching your goal. The act of taking values-based action, regardless of the outcome is beneficial. It is motivating and vitalizing to know you are taking steps toward something meaningful to you. While it is nice to get the outcome you want, I find there is a sense of satisfaction and p...

Reflecting on one’s mortality brings goals and values back into focus.   Your Wisest Self  is a version of who you want to be this worksheet asks you to imagine you’re nearing the end of a long, rewarding life. From that perspective,  offer life wisdom to your younger, present-day selves and reflect on how you can translate this wisdom into action. There are many different definitions of wisdom in  psychology research , but the one I like best centers on two characteristics: Wit:  Having procedural and factual knowledge, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, self-reflection abilities, and  perspective-taking  skills; Virtue:  Being goodhearted, motivated to enhance the well-being of self and others, guided by values, and able to tolerate uncertainty in the service of meaning. Wisdom doesn’t necess...
