One of the easiest way to improve anxiety
How to ... Breathe
Did you know diaphragmatic breathing is one of the easiest resilience tool you can use? It's free and it works! The value of it comes from it's impact on the sympathetic nervous system which is known as fight or flight mode.
When we are stressed by anxiety and trauma experience that cause you to feel fear.
• Increased heart rate to get blood pumping to muscles.
• Sweating
• release of adrenaline
• Faster shallow breathing
• Decrease immune and digestive system function
These are all great things but they not going to be helpful in modern Life.
Our breathe is the only thing we can control it switches everything else off.
Our breathe is the only thing we can control it switches everything else off.
How to do it!
Start breathing in through your nose for a count of 4 seconds hold then release on count of 4 seconds to make sure you are breathing through stomach you can put hand on chest and other on stomach. Build this up as a daily practice. I know it's hard to remember to do the exercises for your anxiety but trust me it better than being on drugs for anxiety. I know it’s hard you will overcome the anxiety.
Blessings
