How to change your life
How to change your life
1. Dream You start to imagine a future that is better than your current reality. This dream needs to be something that excites you.
2. Leap You commit to a particular set of actions and behaviours, to help you take the first step towards your dream life.
3. Fight You experience some difficulty and maybe some pain. These obstacles are signs that you are on the right path, rather instead of avoiding it face it with courage.
4. Climb You start spotting the ‘seeds of progress’ some small wins that are taking you to the next goal.
5. Arrive You reach your destination. Change is a continuous process, so now start all over and go back to step 1.
The first step to changing your life is to come up with a vision of what could be to dream of another way of being. Every change starts with a dream. But the best dreamers are not the ones who rush it. Slow and critically dealing with problems you face right now. Problem finders is not just as important as problem solving it is arguably more important. To dream of a new life, you must first understand this one.
Explore your problems and reframe problems
This is the way of cbt cognitive behavioural therapy. Ask yourself this: What mindset will lead to success?
This is known as reframing the mindset.
Clarify the problem what is it that is holding you back. Write down these issues you want to solve and what a better life looks like to you. Write in a journal.
Simple questions ask yourself
1. What are you good at?
2. What do you love?
3. What does the world need?
What are you good at?
Are you living someone else’s life or are you living your own life?
What do you love?
For me I love doing self help and coaching you guys that’s my passion. So, what do you want to do?
What does the work neeeded?
To me, it’s my coaching I think the world needs as there is so much tragic suicides happening and depression is not something I would want to experience again. I want to help you guys to overcome depression and prevent suicide from happening. The world needs inspiration from me.
Reflection on your purpose, what it means to live a life focused on something positive.
The power of who you’re with
Be careful of what type of people you’re with because it affects your mental state and wellbeing and your journey to succeed in life. You partner needs to support your journey if they don’t then maybe it time to walk away from the relationship.
Obstacles to change
I’ve had to face a lot of negative experiences over the years and a lot I mean. I’ve faced a lot of shit and trauma in my life since the age of 9 years old. I faced it with courage more so now than in the past. I’ve lost two siblings to suicide and it was not easy but I got through the difficult time of loss and accepting that they took their lives. I went through mental health and battle with depression for over 20 years but when I came across cbt known as cognitive behavioural therapy it helped me change how I see things and Journalling made a difference. And now I continue to learn new tools to help myself. When you embark on a new journey it’s important to look after yourself be kind to yourself.
Face fears
Facing fears is important I learned that from my own experiences.
Write down what are your fears and how can you overcome them. This is why Journalling helps.
Your beliefs + your behaviour = results
How can you change your perspective on your fears and how you respond to it.
Reframe setbacks
This is the beauty of cbt known as cognitive behavioural therapy. How you perceive your mindset in a more positive way. This is the beauty of journaling and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Find positivity
This why I teach cbt cognitive behavioural therapy.
Remind yourself of the success you have achieved.
From actions to system that works for you.
Morning routine and evening routine helps.
